Community Outreach in Phoenix

On Saturday 21st December, activists handed out food and water to the homeless and other locals in the spirit of Yule.

Sandwiches were prepared as activists gathered with each other and discussed the local outreach which was to take place. After the conclusion of the social activity the attendants met at a local Biergarten to celebrate the success of the outreach and take part in the holiday cheer.

The group was well received by the locals on the street and most of the food was eagerly accepted. Locals shared their struggles while members listened to them express their concerns about the future and what it may hold for them. It is clear from the reception by the locals and the state of the city’s increasing homeless population just how desperate the situation really is.
